Hair that holds.

Hair growth and restoration

A structured, dermatologist-directed protocol harnessing your body’s own platelet-rich plasma, precision microneedling, and a prescription-strength home regimen engineered for sustained regrowth, not a single-visit promise.

Because thinning is a hair follicle that has gone quiet in an environment that stopped supporting it, we treat the scalp in a series of treatments to support the regrowth, health, and longevity of the hair.

Cross-section of skin and hair follicles

Why we created this protocol

Hair loss is deeply personal. The clinical response should be equally precise.

By the time hair looks visibly thinner, the follicle has already been under stress for months. What you find in the brush is the end of a story, not the beginning of one. Hair loss is rarely only cosmetic, it is deeply personal. It affects confidence, how you present yourself and it almost never responds to a single treatment. This protocol was designed for patients who want more density without a transplant. It works deep in the dermis layer of your scalp, around the follicle rather than on the surface: improving circulation, lowering inflammation, and giving the scalp the conditions and building blocks it needs to hold hair through a full growth cycle. Your own growth factors are delivered through precise microneedling, then supported between visits with a proprietary prescription regimen used daily at home.

It is not a filler, not a neurotoxin, and not right for every pattern of hair loss. Your treatment plan starts with an assessment, not a procedure. We look at the scalp before we treat it, and the first session is scheduled only once we know this protocol is the right one for you.

Your own growth factors

Platelet rich plasma (PRP) is prepared the same day from a sample of your own blood. It gives us a concentrated source of your own growth factors, the molecules that signal your body to regenerate, which we then use to treat your scalp.

Delivered to the follicle

Microneedling creates a path to the dermis layer so your growth factors reach the follicle rather than remaining on the surface of the scalp.

Sustained at home

Hair Fortifying Rx is Dr. Russak’s proprietary prescription treatment, used daily to calm the scalp and support growth between visits. What happens in the chair is one layer. What happens every morning at home is the other.

The two layers

In clinic, then at home

In clinic

Blood is drawn and centrifuged to isolate platelet-rich plasma. The scalp is cleansed and microneedled. PRP is applied on the treated area so growth factors reach hair follicles.

About one hour. Minimal downtime. Typically four visits, one month apart.

At home

Hair Fortifying Rx is a prescription scalp treatment developed by Dr. Russak for her patients. The proprietary formula is written to quiet inflammation at the scalp and support new growth between office visits, so the work of each session continues every day.

Apply as directed at home. Every morning between seesions.

Optional layer

MuseExosomes®

When the plan calls for it, topical Dezawa MuseExosomes can be placed on the scalp after microneedling, the same channel-and-signal logic used on the face. They are cell-free and do not replace PRP or Hair Fortifying Rx. It adds and amplify a regenerative message on a skin that has already been treated with PRP.

Eligibility is decided during your consultation, not as a default add-on to every hair visit.

The critical difference: a mapped PRP series, a prescription home layer, and — when appropriate — MuseExosomes on the needled scalp. Maintenance every four to six months follows. It is not a single-pass “PRP hair” visit.

The appointment

How treatment unfolds

A personilized visit in-office, then a daily regimen that carries the work forward at home.

Step 01

Assess pattern and density

Every plan begins with the scalp. We review part width, density, history of hair loss, and examine the follicles closely for early signs of thinning. Where appropriate, bloodwork will be performed to check the nutrients and hormones hair depends on. From this, we determine whether our protocol is the right approach in your case.

Step 02

Microneedling and PRP

After topical anesthesia, the scalp is microneedled. PRP is then applied, and the follicles receive the concentrated growth factor solution the same day it is prepared. When applicable, MuseExosomes are applied over the same treatment area to further support growth.

Step 03

Prescribe the home regimen

Hair Fortifying Rx becomes part of your daily care, carrying the work of each session forward between visits. The remaining sessions in your series are scheduled before you leave the office, so your plan is in place from day one.

Is this right for you

Thinning takes many forms. So does the answer.

Early thinning

A part that has begun to widen, a hairline that has grown quieter, or a gradual loss of density across the scalp. At this stage the follicles are still there, and they can be encouraged back into growth rather than replaced. The earlier we begin, the more there is to work with.

Women and men

The visit is structured the same way for every patient. What we treat, and where, is decided by your pattern and density, not by your gender.

After the first series

Once the initial four visits are complete, maintenance every four to six months helps to hold the improvement rather than leaving it to chance.

Within a broader plan

Scalp restoration can can be part of regenerative program at Russak Dermatology Clinic. When prescribed, MuseExosomes can be placed on the scalp during the same visit, or on the face or neck on a separate day, so the two treatment areas are not recovering at once.

Questions

About the treatment

A physician-led, non-surgical protocol that combines scalp microneedling with platelet-rich plasma prepared from your own blood, then a daily Hair Fortifying Rx.

Adults with thinning hair or early density loss, including women and men. Scarring alopecia and certain medical causes of hair loss require a different approach. Consultation determines whether this protocol is appropriate, or whether another treatment plan is better.

Most patients complete four initial sessions, spaced about one month apart, then continue with maintenance every four to six months. Hair Fortifying Rx is used daily throughout. The in-office series does not replace the home regimen.

Topical anesthesia is applied first. Most patients describe pressure and mild tingling during microneedling. Redness typically settles quickly, and the rest of the day can usually proceed as planned.

Not the morning after the first visit. Follicles cycles are slow. Visible support is often notisable over weeks, and Hair Fortifying Rx may contribute within few weeks to few months when used as directed. Results vary and tend to build up across the series.

Yes, when your dermatologist includes them. After microneedling, topical MuseExosomes can be placed on the scalp so the open channels carry them as well as PRP. They do not replace the blood draw or Hair Fortifying Rx. Read more on the MuseExosomes page, then discuss treatment plan together with physician during your consultation.

Yes, when your treatment plan calls for that. Facial MuseExosomes or a medical facial can be done at the same time or spread apart.
